Surreal Superstructure – Fulton Award Nominee

We have recently been offered the prestige and honour of becoming a Fulton Award nominee for the latest addition to our premiere construction portfolio – 47 Hely Hutchinson. This is a one-of-a-kind marvel nestled elegantly at the feet of the Twelve Apostles mountain range.

This concrete architectural masterpiece boasts a fully xypex-specified concrete-design add mix. Just like any good piece of art, the pointing of architectural lines is created for a unique inflow of natural light that fills this entire home. It is because of these architectural lines that the structure has minimal brick infill on the main sky-room entertainment area.

One of the many features of this home is the lean-to-fall post-tensioned slabs which open up for the clearstory glass-level which gives fully surrounded views of the Twelve Apostles – proving you do not have to compromise scenery for scale. Another construction feat includes the fact that the home is divided into two and married together with a glass roof and a glass floor – all being cantilevered by beams and roof slabs that defy gravity over a suspended glass pool which is cladded in earthy timbre.

The main façade boasts with its elegant minimalistic lines that join internal and external living simultaneously. Visit our Instagram page @Blacklandindustries for the full tour.
